Description
The Book Thief is an incredibly well written book about the holocaust from the point of view of Death and a young German girl named Liesel.
The city where Liesel and her family lived was near a work camp. Sometimes the Nazis would make the Jews walk the street in the city. Every time they passed, Liesel would watch for Max, the man that her family had sheltered. When she finally found him, she was barely able to talk to him before the soldiers dragged her away and beat her for speaking with a Jew.
Book Thief and all characters are property of Markus Zusak.
The representation of Jews as mice and Germans as cats is (c) to Art Spiegelman, author of Maus

Beautiful. I particularly love your incorporation of Zusak's and Spiegelman's work; a lovely combination that does itself justice here
